More beautiful fish paintings from Ernst Mayr Library Artwork Collection: http://bit.ly/9gpwML
I am suddenly mad for sea skates. Great find.
Thank you for another great set of fish to add to my collection. These are stunning.
Exquisite, as per usual. I love the intensity of the colour and pattern.
Wonderful fish paintings!!
Thanks for posting this. I have this set of books sitting on my desk at work right now - some library patron took it upon themselves to slice out the majority of these lovely plates, utterly destroying the book. While it will never be the same, I hope to replace the missing plates with color copies. This is really helpful!
Oh hi Audra!
That's awful and sad. If you're looking to take copies, you might want to contact BDHL or UCL: I'd be surprised if they wouldn't supply high quality printable images.
That's a great idea. I should send you a photo of what the books look like with the tags for all the missing pages.
Audra's vandalised Britfish book: one, two.
