Petershausener Sakramentar

This is another exquisite manuscript from the Abbey of Reichenau - see the previous post on the Gero Codex for background links.
The manuscript ('Petershausener Sakramentar' - [Codex Salemitani IX b]) was produced in 960-980AD and is owned and hosted by Heidelberg University. [click on 'Einband vorne' and then the '-' sign at the top of the page for thumbnail images]

I'm just getting back to my blog after a week out of town. I continue to view your site and get a lot out of it.It's nice to know that there are a few of us over 20 with a 'box' of memories.
